of China Zhejiang Energy Group, the Research Institute
of the Thermodynam Energy of Zhejiang University, and
Zhejiang Beilun Power Plant visited Powerzinc Shanghai
and the US/China Energy and Environmental Technology
Center (EETC), which has its office inside Powerzinc¡¯s
facility, on July 28, 2003. In addition to signing a
memorandum of cooperation with EETC, the delegates also
toured Powerzinc¡¯s factory and test-drove its ¡°Long
Range¡± electric bicycle powered by zinc-air fuel cells.
This type of electric bicycle was developed by Powerzinc
and is first of its kind. Powerzinc has started marketing
this product in Shanghai market since June.
The delegates were impressed by the function and capability
of zinc air fuel cell powered electric bicycles and
believed there would be tremendous market potential
for such environment-friendly products in China.
Both parties are also interested to explore strategy
alliance and cooperation potentials in the future.
